Dark and deep desires

I am going to need to do something about this person he keeps mocking me and I ain’t having it. I don’t want them to find out but to be the best I can be I need him to disappear. I will just have to act normal but when the time is right he’s going out!

This is quite strange often the evil people(witches) will tell us the truth to make Us trust them and then afterwards they deceive us in our important times making us betray people which will give us big consequences

it is strange often in order to do us harm the witches tell us the truth about matters of small importance and then betray us in relation to something of imortance. Work done in class

Science-Criteria’s

Hasan Ali and Aahnaf Newaz

Microscopes are useful in studying cell biology because it can magnify into an object that is underneath the scope and show its cells. The cells can then be examined by scientists and therefore it builds understandings of cells. The reason why it is really helpful is because they can zoom in up to 1000 times bigger than the normal size, if it was the normal size we wouldn’t be able to examine it but this way we can.

Magnification calculation formula: Length of object= Length of magnified object/magnification

Magnification is the ability to make small objects seem larger and Resolution is the ability to separate two objects from each other.

Advantages of light microscope: Simple to use, can view both alive and dead specimen, cheap to buy and low repair costs.

Disadvantages of light microscope: Poor surface view, low resolving power and low magnification.

Advantages of a electron microscope: Good surface view and internal details, high resolving powers and high magnifications.

Disadvantages of a electron microscope: Harder to use, user requires technical skills, can only view dead specimens, very expensive and expensive to maintain.

Single celled Prokaryotes are microbes that include bacteria, prokaryotic cells are much more simple then the more advanced Eukaryotic cell. Prokaryotes cells do not have a nucleus but instead has only a single chromosome. All Eukaryotic cells contain a Nucleus within the membrane. The difference between two cells is that one has a Nucleus and the other does not have a Nucleus. Also one contains a Membrane-bound organelle and the other does not.

Prokaryotes cells contains a plasma membrane, cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, ribosomes and a flagellum. The plasma membrane is a double layer of protein and other molecules, it holds everything in it together. The cytoplasm is jell like liquid that has all the cellular organelles within in it. A cytoskeleton provides structural support and also helps in the cell division. Ribosomes are tiny protein making machines of the cell. Flagellum helps the cell move.

Root hair cells and Palisade cells are specialized plant cells. Root hair cells are used for absorbing water and minerals from the soil for plants. Palisade cells are used for photosynthesis. Root hair cells have large surface areas which can be useful and palisade cells contain a lot of chloroplasts that help for maximum photosynthesis.

Lichens

Hasan Ali and Aahnaf Newaz

Lichens can be used as environmental indicators as they can only grow in places with clean air. They can’t grow in a place where the air is polluted with sulfur dioxide, therefore they can show us which areas are more polluted than others. Some types of lichens (Leafy and Crusty) can grow in places where there is pollution, however it has to be at a low amount. Bushy lichens are the only types of lichens that need really clean air. Lichens are unlikely to grow in places near roads as they are used by a lot of cars that release sulfur dioxide. The near roads the level of sulfur dioxide will high and so the air will be polluted. Yellow colored lichens are extremely unlikely to grow in places near roads as they need clean air to grow. Green and red lichens can grow in places near roads as long as the level of sulfur dioxide is low.

Fossil fuels are one major reason to why SO2 and CO2 is released in to the atmosphere. The way we can remove SO2 and CO2 from the atmosphere is by using several different methods such as solar panels to reduce the amount of fossils fuels being burnt for power. We can also use wind turbines which will generate electricity which means we would not need to use any fossil fuels which would reduce the SO2 in the air. The reason why would know it will be working is because Lichens would grow and when they do the color of their organism will be either green or yellow, yellow meaning the air is clean and if it is green then the air is slightly polluted. So by building these things in the countryside or on buildings(solar panels) you can reduce the amount of CO2 and SO2 in the air keeping it less polluted.

Lichens

Lichens are Plant organisms that can be used as Environmental Indicators because they sense air pollution especially the concentration of sulfur dioxide in the atmosphere. Lichens can be found in various different exposed places such as rocks and tree barks. They also need to be good at absorbing water and nutrients to grow there.

Natural selection

The Process of Natural selection according to Darwin’s Theory of evolution only the organisms best fit for that environment will stay alive and will start reproducing, making more of the same organisms to grow over the generations and the weak will be destroyed because it will not be fit for that environment. Natural selection is also the process of biological heritable traits becoming either more or less common in the population so it can develop the organisms fit for that environment. It is because of random mutation that these organisms get there beneficial genetics which then make them more liable to survive in the world. Also not always do these genes get passed on.

Essay Hotel Rwanda

The director of Hotel Rwanda uses cinematographic techniques to develop tension in Paul’s ‘Epiphany’ Scene in many ways. The reason why they would like to create tension in that scene and in Hotel Rwanda in general is because the director wants you to put you self in their shoes and discover what its like for them because in the world its not always perfect as it seems just because we live in a more comfortable place where we can relax and enjoy ourselves and know that we are protected, but in Hotel Rwanda that is not the case because there is a civil war there people getting brutally murdered in cold blood because they are not in the same group as you and this is why they would like to create the atmosphere, image and devastation in your heads.

In the Paul’s ‘Epiphany’ scene there is a lot of cinematographic techniques.First of all Paul is getting confronted by George while Gregoire is watching. George says that he will kill all the Tutsi’s and he wanted help from Paul, he also said to Paul if he helped him then he would let him take 1 or 2 ‘Cockroaches’ (Tutsi’s) of his own. Paul didn’t know what to say and he replied it is almost sun rise and he had to get going before anyone noticed he was gone. George that he should take the path down the river because it was clear. Let alone did he know the clear was not what he seemed it was. Once they arrived on the river road it was bumpy and Paul thought Gregoire was going off the road into the river and Paul kept shouting “Stop the car!” Gregoire did what he was told and then Paul tried to get out of the car and he fell out. When he finally looked around he saw a dead body right away and he was terrified and he agitating up you could see in his face he was disgusted and he looked like he was going to puke. Once he saw all the dead bodies around him he had to escape quickly from the nightmare so he got in the car and he told Gregoire to Dive!!

The director uses Sounds/Music in Paul’s ‘Epiphany’ scene to make the audience understand the mood in the scene because when you listen to the music in the background it gives you the atmosphere in the scene. The music in the scene is a dramatic and sad sound effect, this sound effect only happens when Paul fell onto the ground and saw the dead body in front of him. This shows how scary and how sad it was for him and it makes you understand how it feels to be there. It also made the sound of the machete hitting the ground which made really good sense because they got killed by machetes and other weapons this is why this was a good sound effect for the scene. This is a way to develop tension in the scene.

Another way the Director uses Paul’s Epiphany scene to create tension was by using the camera movement and camera angles. The director moves the camera a lot because it helps move the scene in many ways some of the ways he uses the camera is by moving the camera at a point of a level angle and a mid shot the first time he used it in the scene was when George was at the car window sill over powering Paul in to submission. He wants to trap Paul into making him kill the Tutsi’s. He also says that he will let him keep some, which allows him to think deeper into the situation. This allows tension to rise because we do not know what he is going to do.Another camera movement and angle was the close up were it should Paul’s face in disgust. At that point we did not know what he was disgusted at because we could not see the view he was seeing but only his reaction, Straight after Another camera movement and angle was used it was the over the shoulder shot where the director placed the camera over the shoulder of Paul so we could see what he was disgusted at and the view we saw was exactly how Paul’s face seemed it would be like. We could see dead bodies scattered everywhere. This is how camera movement and camera angles create tension because sometimes we don’t know what will happen and we are in suspense until it finally shows us what the character in the scene was looking at and disgusted at.

Another way the director uses Paul’s Epiphany scene to create tension is by simply changing the focus of things to make one thing stand out compared to the others in the scene. In the middle of the scene when Paul falls down on the ground and saw the dead body he got up and at that point the focus was all on him and the background was blurry. The reason why he did that is because he wanted everyone to be focused on him and nothing else because at that point you could see the expression on his face and that is what the director wanted us to see because it shows the feelings he gets inside and it creates the tension we are looking for because we will now be waiting on what will happen next and why he was looking so disgusted. This is why focus helps create tension in the scene.

Another way the director uses Paul ‘Epiphany’ scene to create tension is by using special effects. The director uses special effect in the scene the types of special effects he uses is things like adding mist, fog, rain and more the reason he uses that is to describe the atmosphere and feeling there which is called pathetic fallacy this when the emotion of the characters is set in the weather in the scene, so when Paul was in the path of the dead bodies they used mist to make it more mysterious and creepy and it described Paul’s feelings as well. This is a way to create tension in the scene.
